Lesson learnt

Yeah, I know it's nothing too special but my friend got Tomb Raider working on my laptop earlier and I am endlessly amused. I haven't played it in so long and I never got too far in it since I was a bit too young to play it.
Up to yet it's been suprisingly jumpy, I don't think that the atmosphere has been lost with it's age, for example when a bear growl came from nowhere and then the bear itself charged from around a corner I'd just ventured from, I screamed like a little girl and then bashed my keyboard to get my guns out before diving around the room in every direction trying to remember what the shoot button is...

So anyho, I got to what I assumed was the end of level 2 after about an hour of gameplay when suddenly the first pendulum blade I've seen in the game popped out of the wall without warning and gave Lara a nasty little cut, she died, the game then requested I loaded my last saved game and I was like... 'fuck', I hadn't actually saved the game since the beginning of the first level after discovering how to, so yeah lesson learnt; save more often... Let's try again!

  1. Curse those random pendulum blades. No way of telling if they're there? Or is there like a crack in the wall or a big slit to warn you if you look carefully? :p

  2. Yeah, there's cracks in the wall but it's kinda hard to notice them whilst running before they actually hit you.
