I've got back into playing Final Fantasy, but errr... with the end nowhere in plain sight, I had temptations of cheating on it with another game in the series. So, all hyped up and feeling daring like... out came Final Fantasy IX! I attempted to play it off disc but the emulator wouldn't TAKE IT!
The disc drive was roaring viciously and it kept freezing at the first cut scene... so yeah, figuring this affair wasn't worth it and after shedding a few tears... I carefully put the first disc back into it's case with an upside down smile on my face. URGH.
This shameful turn in events has MOTIVATED ME TO STAY LOYAL to Final Fantasy, well errr... UNTIL I'M THROUGH WITH IT anyho :) when I am... I'll get on with getting IX working. :)
Before I go, anyone care to tell me who these two fuckers are that are drawn onto the cover of Disc 1? Always wondered who they're meant to be, kthanx.
can't really tell who they are, I assume the left one be Zidane, the other I really can't tell. For shits 'n' giggles I'll say i's Quina.
ReplyDeleteAlso, why not just download a ROM of it for ya emulator? No need to feel bad about it if you own the game and whatnot
It appears other characters are on the other discs and by process of elimination, we decided the two characters are probably Zidane and Garnett... And yes, I will be downloading and trying a ROM when I'm done with the first game.
ReplyDeleteOn all the disks they have the original character art, Disk 1 is Zidane and Dagger, Disk 2 is Steiner and Vivi, Disk 3 is Freya and Quina and Disk 4 is Ammarant and Eiko. these are the concept deisngs, which in my opinion, are much better than what they became (at least in Garnet/Eiko/Freya's case, Zidane looks grumpier in his concept art)
