Okay, so about Final Fantasy...

It's getting boring... IT MUST END NOW.

I think my ultimate downfall has been the fact that I set the game to normal mode as opposed to easy... it's caused the enemies to be a lot more powerful than I expected, subjecting me to hours of mind numbing grinding and well... I foresee many hours more. Ironically here's a little quote from the first post I made on this blog in regards to Final Fantasy; "When presented with the choice between Easy and Normal mode... simply because I'm not a n00b, I chose to go on normal mode." I shall now go ahead and eat those words... om nom nom.

So yeah... alas... it would appear our heroes have been...

Well... no, not really, I just killed them off... so err below's a mixture of reflecting and regrets.
Gordon, I'm sorry that you'll never be able to afford your own mansion, real estate and that potential break into global monopoly... I hope you can still go on looking the part.
Fabio, I couldn't get you very far up the hairdressing career ladder, in fact, you couldn't even get your hands on something sharp enough to sever a hair?
Ashley, that sex change operation, sorry, you ain't getting it... is that even what you wanted?
Rogan, perhaps professional wrestling would be more your things? You can't hold weapons and seem quite good at being unconscious... you've got the right outfit for it too.

Now to vow to myself that I won't ever try and fulfil my 'quit and restart' fetish by attempting to start playing this game again from the beginning...

So now that's out the way, guess what's next? Subtle hints are hidden throughout the post. :P

Attempted affair with No. 9...

Emo Garnet...

I've got back into playing Final Fantasy, but errr... with the end nowhere in plain sight, I had temptations of cheating on it with another game in the series. So, all hyped up and feeling daring like... out came Final Fantasy IX! I attempted to play it off disc but the emulator wouldn't TAKE IT!
The disc drive was roaring viciously and it kept freezing at the first cut scene... so yeah, figuring this affair wasn't worth it and after shedding a few tears... I carefully put the first disc back into it's case with an upside down smile on my face. URGH.

This shameful turn in events has MOTIVATED ME TO STAY LOYAL to Final Fantasy, well errr... UNTIL I'M THROUGH WITH IT anyho :) when I am... I'll get on with getting IX working. :)

Before I go, anyone care to tell me who these two fuckers are that are drawn onto the cover of Disc 1? Always wondered who they're meant to be, kthanx.

Imma survivor!

So finally; finished grinding, stocked up on items and fucked off West to find some Astos dude who'd put the elven prince in coma. Didn't find Astos, found the ruins of a castle instead... residents consisted of a king who claimed he needed a crown to restore the castle which Astos stole and took to a cave to the south...

So off I went to the cave in which I got very very very lost but SOMEHOW, with all healing resources FLAT OUT found the crown and managed to get the FUCK out with all party members STILL ALIVE.

So off I struggled back to the ruined castle to give the king back his crown in order make the castle all prettiful again only to encounter a hideous plot twist...

So I faced off with Astos who immediately decided 'I want that bitch dead!' and used a spell called 'reaper' on Ashley, killing him/her/it... so err yeah, fair play, bye bye all means of healing this already broken party, the bitch then started nuking the fuck out of the rest of my party with high powered shit killing Fabio in the process. I managed to use Gordon's magic to finish him off before the on-slaught could continue. Now with no means of healing, I had to crawl back to the village near where the elven prince's castle is, I just managed to somehow, I'm sure Gordon and Rogan have benefited from the experience of carrying around two dead party members, feels nice to now have a fully functional party again! -_-

Where's the 'revert to easy mode' button? ;-;

What. A. Team.

So I started playing the re-release of Final Fantasy on the Playstation today. When presented with the choice between Easy and Normal mode... simply because I'm not a n00b, I chose to go on normal mode. After that came the joys of character select screen whereby I had a choice between six professions (Warrior, Monk, Theif, Black Mage, White Mage and Red Mage) for each character along with their names. I went with:

A Monk, which I named Rogan 'cause he looks like he needs a manly name, a White Mage which I named Ashley because it's a unisex name and I don't know what gender it belongs to, a Theif which I named Fabio because he looks like some sort of hairdresser, and finally a Red Mage which I named Gordon 'cause with an outfit like that; he looks like some sort of posh twat.

Okay, so that's my team, and there starts that adventure... Woop.
