Spot the lever

Okay, so this level wasn't too much trouble, took awhile to find the cogs and then work my way back through it in order to get onto the next but it didn't require too much thinking or effort...

Now the next level certainly has seen a rise in death traps introducing spikes, darts, crumbling floors, falling ceilings... it even started off with a boulder chasing me down a tight corridor,
as you can see below; I'm about to be crushed, fun...

This is the room you start off in, I was stuck in it for quite sometime looking for a way to progress, turned out I had to pull a lever displayed in the picture, can you spot it? Took me awhile,
I actually took this screen shot prior to noticing it.

Okay so missed all the secrets but on a whole the level wasn't that hard at all, ended with this guy shooting at me, not entirely sure why since the graphics and sound fell out of sync, I think he wanted a relic I picked up or some shit like that, what a bitch.

05/11/11 update: This is the last post I made about my play-through of Tomb Raider. I recently started a video Let's Play of it, that can be found here.

Noms for the dino

Bitch killed me in one hit, took Lara in it's mouth, nomed, then spat her out... surely she doesn't taste THAT bad. Second time round I sorted the beast out, very cowardly stood inside a cave as it ran around outside like a lost puppy, gave me plenty of opportunity to put a few bullets in it. Ploughing through this level now, looking for some cogs or something...

Fuck yeah!

As you can see I've ripped level two apart, took my sweet time...
I managed to find ALL the secrets... didn't die once, I am proud.

Yeah, that's right, these fuckers didn't kill me this time...
one HIT but somehow didn't KILL, makes sense right?

On another note, I accidentally how to sexy pointless move...
I'm not even going to consider how the fuck she does that.

Lesson learnt

Yeah, I know it's nothing too special but my friend got Tomb Raider working on my laptop earlier and I am endlessly amused. I haven't played it in so long and I never got too far in it since I was a bit too young to play it.
Up to yet it's been suprisingly jumpy, I don't think that the atmosphere has been lost with it's age, for example when a bear growl came from nowhere and then the bear itself charged from around a corner I'd just ventured from, I screamed like a little girl and then bashed my keyboard to get my guns out before diving around the room in every direction trying to remember what the shoot button is...

So anyho, I got to what I assumed was the end of level 2 after about an hour of gameplay when suddenly the first pendulum blade I've seen in the game popped out of the wall without warning and gave Lara a nasty little cut, she died, the game then requested I loaded my last saved game and I was like... 'fuck', I hadn't actually saved the game since the beginning of the first level after discovering how to, so yeah lesson learnt; save more often... Let's try again!
